Last December Women in Design - Hampton
Roads hosted a holiday event to benefit Operation Write Home.
Serving military deployed throughout the world, Operation Write
Home collects and distributes greeting cards to troops away from
home. This non-profit organization which formed in 2009 has
sent over one million cards to American troops deployed
overseas. Women in Design - Hampton Roads attendees
participated in a holiday potluck and learned how to craft homemade
greeting cards. At the conclusion of the evening, WiD-HR
created many beautiful handmade blank greeting cards.
Attendees enjoyed an evening of holiday festivities and experienced
the joy of helping others. For more information on how
you can help Operation Write Home go to http://operationwritehome.org/index.html
